The overriding goal of The Heekin Law Firm is to put the client first, at all times, without sacrificing the independent, professional judgment for which the client hired the firm. We will consult with you on all important aspects of the engagement. We will manage your case strategically, using process management techniques and technology to reduce your costs. We will staff the engagement as leanly as possible with the right team to solve your problem. You will know who each team member is and what each one will do for you before they begin work on your behalf. As necessary, we will collaborate with professionals from other disciplines, such as accountants, IT security, records management, computer forensics, and human resources. We will create a preliminary budget and a preliminary schedule at the outset of each engagement. We will keep you informed of potential changes to the budget and schedule and discuss reasonable alternatives with you to avoid unpleasant surprises. We will provide you with an initial assessment of the case after conducting preliminary research into the facts and legal issues. Then we will provide you with regular updates as our opinion evolves over the course of the engagement. Under the right circumstances, we will negotiate alternative billing arrangements, such as flat fees, contingent fees, blended fees, success fees, and task-based fees.
